UNOPS is working to address the health and humanitarian needs of the returning Internally Displaced People (IDPs).
The armed conflict that took place in Benishangul Gumuz Region displaced hundreds of thousands of people and created disruption to access to health services for the communities in Metekel Zone of the Region.
UNOPS using funding from the Government of Japan seeks to strengthen the delivery of health services through the construction of health posts damaged by conflict in in Dangur Woreda of the region. The intervention aims to address the health and humanitarian needs of the returning Internally Displaced People (IDPs).
The project will benefit 10,000 IDP returnees who will receive health services at the two health posts to be constructed.
