UN Ethiopia Annual Results Report July 2023–June 2024

The United Nations country team (UNCT) in Ethiopia represents one of the largest UNCTs in the world. It is composed of representatives of 28 United Nations organizations, funds and specialized programmes, including two non-resident agencies (the Department of Economic and Social Affairs and International Trade Centre) and two observers (the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and United Nations Department for Safety and Security). Some of the United Nations organizations present in the country have regional mandates or act as liaison offices to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the African Union.
This Annual Results Report reflects the collective efforts of the UNCT in Ethiopia, in partnership with the Government of Ethiopia, donors, civil society and other development partners, to advance sustainable development and improve the lives of the Ethiopian people for the period July 2023–June 2024.
The report highlights the progress made in Ethiopia against the deliverables outlined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2020–2025 (UNSDCF), a multi-year strategic plan guiding the United Nations collective contribution to advancing progress towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
